How it works Pricing Questions Free invoice check
For independent & family-run restaurants, bars and cafes

Your suppliers make mistakes. They rarely make them in your favour.

Upload up to 3 months of supplier invoices, even just last month's. We check every line on every one and show you exactly what you're owed, with a ready-to-send credit request for each mistake.

A study of over a million supplier invoices this year found about 1 in 5 had at least one item charged more than the agreed price.*

Example invoice check
Beverage supplier
Lager keg 50L × 4$812.00
House red 12 × 750ml × 3$486.00
Cider 24 × 473ml × 6$413.40
Soda water 24 × 355ml × 5$92.50
Found: short delivery
Driver's note on the slip says "2 cases cider short". You were billed for all 6.

What we catch

Food and drink. Big distributors, liquor reps and the local produce guy. Emailed PDFs, scans, or just snap a photo of the paper copy with your phone.

Math errors

Quantity × price that doesn't add up, and totals that don't match the lines.

Double charges

The same invoice billed twice, or the same item showing up on two lines.

Short deliveries

We read the driver's handwritten notes too. If it was short, you shouldn't pay for it.

Catch-weight errors

Meat and seafood billed by weight, where the weight or the price per kilo doesn't hold up.

Price creep

Quiet increases over 3% on spirits and staples, or over 8% on produce and meat.

Smaller packs, same price

When the case size shrinks but the price doesn't, so you're paying more per unit.

Above your agreed price

Got a deal with a supplier, like lemons at $60 a case? Tell us once and we flag any invoice that charges you more.

Cheaper from your other supplier

When one of your other suppliers sells the same thing for less, we point it out so you can buy smarter.

Text alerts

Know before you pay the bill.

Once you're on a plan, every new invoice is checked within minutes of arriving. If something's wrong, you get a text on your phone and an email with the details, so you can sort it out with the driver or the rep before the money leaves your account. It all comes to your phone, so you know what's on every invoice even on your day off, or when a manager takes the deliveries.

✓ A text when there's money at stake, with the supplier, the item and the amount
✓ A quick "all good" text when an invoice checks out, so you know it was looked at
✓ Goes to your phone, or up to 3 phones on Pro so your chef and bar manager hear too
Example texts
Watchdog: Meat supplier inv 4471. Striploin billed 6.2 kg, label says 5.4 kg. About $31 over. Details in your email.
Watchdog: Produce inv 20931 checked. All good ✅

Questions

Do I need to install anything or set up my recipes?

No. There's no software and no recipe mapping. You upload invoices, forward the emails they already come in, or snap a photo of the paper ones.

Who's behind this?

I'm Steve, and Invoice Watchdog is a small local business here in London, Ontario. The big chains have people checking every invoice. Independent and family-run places deserve the same, without the big-chain price. Questions? Email me at steve@invoicewatchdog.ca.

Which suppliers does it work with?

Any of them: Sysco, GFS, your liquor and beer reps, local produce and meat suppliers. If it's an invoice, we can read it.

When do the text alerts start?

When you pick a plan. During the free check we go through your old invoices quietly and put everything in your report. After that, every new invoice gets checked as it arrives and you get a text if something's off.

Will you contact my suppliers?

Only when you tap the button to ask for a credit. Nothing goes to your reps without you choosing to send it.

Is my information private?

Your invoices are used only to check your bills. Your report sits behind a private link that only you get.

What happens after the free check?

You choose Basic or Pro, or you don't. If you don't, we simply stop checking. Your report is yours to keep either way.
